Hunters’ historical support

The PNG SP Hunters have made history by being the first sporting team and code in PNG to support the RSPCA.

Community liaison coordinator, Brigitte Baki-Ta’u, said yesterday the Hunters donated an autographed team jersey to the RSPCA of PNG.

“The donation was made to show the team’s support for the animal welfare organisation and to aid the RSPCA in their fundraising drive for much-needed contributions toward the building of their new animal hospital,” she says.

During the historical moment, team captain, Ase Boas, presented the team jersey to the RSPCA’s General Manager, Hellen White.

The donation was made at the National Football Stadium earlier yesterday during the RSPCA’s photoshoot for their 2018 wall calendar.

“Each team member had fun posing with either a dog or a cat during the photoshoot. The photoshoot was carried out by PVM Productions.”

Baki-Ta’u concluded by saying: “’Not everyone is in the position to help animals, but everyone is in the position not to harm them’. This quote is courtesy of lovecatsworld.com and is the message we strive to bring to the masses.”

The event was made possible with the support of the National Football Stadium, PNG SP Hunters management and team, PVM Productions and 12 amazing calendar sponsors Aisi-Bishman Contractors,

Coca-Cola Amatil Limited, Curtain Bros Ltd, Datec, Hastings Deering, HiTRON, Paradise Foods Limited, Sinton Spence Chartered Accountants, Steamships Limited, Sweet Steps Learning Center and Treid Pacific PNG Limited.
