US visa fee changes

Effective March 4, 2019, the US Embassy says the following visa reciprocity schedule for nonimmigrant visa (NIV) categories for Papua New Guinea citizens will come into effect.

These changes will increase the fee and/or decrease the validity for the visa categories below, and are commensurate to those imposed by the Government of Papua New Guinea on U.S. citizens. 

Former reciprocity fees/validities are in parentheses.

“Please note that fees are only paid to the U.S. Embassy at the time of the interview,” says the Embassy.

“Applicants should never pay a ‘service fee’ to an online visa broker prior to the interview. Fees can be paid in cash either in PGK or USD – we do not currently accept credit card payments for these services.”
