Traffics gears up for upcoming events

Every event that will be and has been hosted in Papua New Guinea is part of the Royal PNG Constabulary Traffics’ training for the lead up to the APEC Summit in 2018.

Director for Traffics, Joe Joseph, said the officers who have graduated from their training sessions for 2018 are prepared to carry that out.

Joseph said this with regards to the upcoming Rugby World Cup event that will be held at the end of the month.

“Events hosted and needs our skill set to provide escort will help to build the training experiences of the officers to improve their skills where necessary, leading up to the Summit in 2018.”

He reassured that the traffic office is confident of its officers’ preparations toward helping in event lead ups, adding that they have graduated more than 30 officers in the same traffic training program who are willing and ready to take up the task.

He further urged the general public, especially the residents of Port Moresby, to give due consideration to the trainings and practice sessions conducted by traffics every Fridays in and around the city.
