Stabilise and rebuild SHP!

Stabilise and rebuild!

This is the approach the newly-appointed acting Provincial Administrator for Southern Highlands, Joseph Cajetan, is taking.

In light of this, Cajetan is calling on all Southern Highlanders to cooperate and work in unity with his office to restore the province.

Southern Highlands Province has had its fair share of turmoil.

The province, especially its people, have suffered from problems which stemmed from politics following the 2017 National Elections while the recent earthquake created further disorder.

Cajetan, in a press conference in Port Moresby yesterday, announced his intention to rebuild Southern Highlands by reinforcing command and control in the provincial administration and amongst the province’s public servants.

“My immediate task is to bring the public servants under one building, allow operations to commence, restore normalcy and put the province back in order,” said Cajetan.

While highlighting his restoration plans, he also appealed to the people to stop spreading rumours on social media.

He said in the face of adversity, all Southern Highlanders should work towards achieving a common good, therefore he is calling on the people to accord the same support to him and his office for the benefit of the province.

“Come with me. Let’s work together as a team and let’s build our province,” he appealed.

Meanwhile, the acting Provincial Administrator brushed aside allegations surrounding his appointment, stating he has attained the position on merit.
