Security operations parade underway in Mt Hagen

The final day for the launch of security operations parade is underway in Mt Hagen.

The parade formation will be at IEA (Mt Hagen Big Rooster) and will march through Waghi Parade and reform in an orderly fashion at the Queen Elizabeth Park.

The arrival of the parade hosts, Commissioner for Police, Gari Baki and the reviewing officer, Chief Secretary to the Government, Isaac Lupari is expected at around 9:45am.

The parade will comprise of parade commander, Superintendent David Seine (PPC Simbu) and Parade Sgt Major Chief Sergeant William Manu.

The No. 1 Company comprises of Special Services Divison, Mobile Squad (MS) 05, MS 06 and MS 07 while the No. 2 Company comprises of the Papua New Guinea Defence Force and he Correctional Service (CS).

The No. 3 Company comprise of the Public Safety Divison, Northern Command, Eastern Command and the Western Command with the music by RPNGC Band.

Hagen town is expected to come to a standstill once the parade begins.
