Sapuri praises Muthuvel for bringing medical ship to Kimbe

West New Britain Provincial Health Authority Chairman Dr Mathias Sapuri has praised WNB Governor Sasindran Muthuvel for bringing the YWAM medical ship into the province.

“Thank you so much for your time and effort in progressing our Province and importantly for supporting me and our team in WNBPHA.

“Your support has significantly progressed our development in the health sector.

“Once again we would require your support to bring Australian Doctors International to WNB to assist with Rural Health Programs.”

Dr Sapuri added that WNBPHA ultimate objective is to achieve the best health care in PNG with everyone working together through partnership with Provincial Government, Churches, NGOs, International Development Partners and Private Sector and any other organizations willing to work with us.

“I am looking forward to the ground Breaking Ceremony for the Bialla Rural Hospital and I look forward to do the same for Kandrian Rural Hospital and Gloucester Rural Hospital to follow in a few years.

“Similarly, the new Kimbe General Hospital should progress soon and private sector will come in soon to build Kimbe International Hospital.

“Once again, on behalf of WNBPHA Board and Management Team we sincerely thank you.

“We wish you and your team all the best in the coming election and we are confident that the people of West New Britain will decide accordingly.”

Governor Muthuvel on Thursday presented a cheque of K500,000 to the YWAM medical ship to provide health services to the remote people of WNB.
