PNG Air have despatched their Dash 8 freighter with 3 tonnes of much needed food and medical supplies for survivors of the Southern Highlands earthquake.
“We are a relatively small company but our staff feel strongly that we also need to play our part and this is one way that we can help.“PNG Air is doing our best to support the relief operation and has made our Dash 8 freighter available at no charge to assist with moving these desperately needed supplies to the people in need.
”“The devastation caused by the earthquakes in the highlands has been on a scale never before seen in this country and individuals and businesses around the country have banded together to help send relief supplies into the region” said Murray Woo Chairman PNG Air.
The donated supplies have been collected by Hela Earthquake Relief and then despatched to our Cargo operation who sorted and prepared the goods for uplift. Staff and crew have given of their time to make this happen and we are grateful for their support.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the recent disaster and we hope that in some small way we have contributed to getting their lives back to normal” said Mr Woo
