Parkop calls for NCD residents to unite

The Governor for NCD, Powes Parkop, is planning on shutting down the city for a day to commemorate the World Human rights day which falls on the 10th of December.

Parkop says the date will coincide with the Walk for life next week Sunday and he is calling on the residence of NCD to unite and stand together to say Enap Nau – End Violence.

The governor says this is an opportune time considering the recent incidences that have been occurring.

He said residence of NCD need to stand up and tell these petty criminals that they will not be scared away by their petty actions but unite to say they are not scared to stand together to end violence.

The governor is also assuring anyone wishing to take part that tight security will be provided; adding that this walk will be dedicated to take steps in addressing bad behaviour.
