MAF Joins Fight Against SARV

The Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) has joined hands with the PNG Tribal Foundation in its effort to address and fight against Sorcery Accusation-Related Violence (SARV).

In formalising the partnership, the Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with MAF Country Director, Todd Aebischer recently for the Senisim Pasin campaign.

MAF is an international Christian organization serving remote communities through aviation and maximises technology to bring help and hope to people in some of the world’s most isolated areas. They have operated in the Papua New Guinea since 1951.

PNG Tribal Foundation has, over the last 12 years have invested heavily in PNG and continues to save lives. Through the Foundation’s Senisim Pasin campaign, their drive to end SARV and gender-based violence continues to grow and its efforts make an impact on the lives of many Papua New Guineans.

“By continuing the conversations we fight to change laws at the national level. This level of impact is achieved because of valuable partnerships with incredible organizations across PNG,” says the Foundation team.

MAF joints YWAM, Capital Insurance and ExxonMobil among others who have partnered with PNG Tribal Foundation, to bring Senisim Pasin to the rural communities.

Senisim Pasin has impacted more than 250,000 people in 17 provinces because it is 100 per cent Papua New Guinean and because of its positive messaging.  Now with MAFs partnership thousands more in rural PNG will have an opportunity to learn about gender appreciation.

Mr Aebischer says, “Our team was impressed by how culturally relevant the film is. We are looking forward to taking Senisim Pasin to the communities we serve.”

PNG Tribal Foundation will conducting training for MAF Staff later this month.

PNGTF has corporate and organizational partnerships available for Senisim Pasin.  Those interested can email Yanamlyn on lyn@pngtribe.org or contact Senisim Pasin via social media.
