IBS graduates encouraged

About 190 students graduated with their certificates at the IBS College of TVET this week with the theme ‘Striving for success’.

The students received their certificate III in Accounting, Business, Information Technology, and Certificate IV in Human Resource Management, Accounting, Business, and Information Technology at the 6 Mile campus.

Vice Chancellor of IBU, Dr. Ramachandran Arunachalam when addressing the students said, “Follow your passion even though your pathway is difficult. Be open to new ideas and learn as many things as possible.”

“IBS wishes the graduates who have been a part of the IBS community all the best in their future endeavors. There are so many success stories of students who graduate from both our college and university,” he added.

Recipient of the academic excellence award for first place in Certificate IV in Accounting, Choyline Zook, on behalf of the graduates commended IBS College for the educational opportunity.

“We (graduates) have been taught by very thoughtful, smart, and hardworking lecturers. As life is a journey, we thank IBS for providing a pathway for us to chase our dreams. Being a student at IBS College is not a regret,” she said.

“We also thank our parents, guardians, and sponsors for giving us the much-needed support all throughout this academic year.”
