Governor-General to be knighted soon: Government House

Governor-General Bob Dadae is waiting for an invite from Queen Elizabeth II to travel to England for his commissioning.

The former three term parliamentarian took his oath of loyalty to the Independent State of Papua New Guinea and the Queen of England before Chief Justice Sir Salomo Injia in Parliament on Monday.

Dadae is the 10th Governor-General of Papua New Guinea.

Officials from the Government House advised Loop PNG that the Governor-General’s commissioning will happen soon once travel arrangements are confirmed. Dadae will be knighted by Queen Elizabeth II or her representative at the Royal Buckingham Palace in London, England.
