Good Friday Walk Begins

It’s that time of the year again as Catholic faithfuls take to the streets following the way of the cross.

The Good Friday walk for the Station of the Cross began early this morning leaving the Don Bosco Technological Institute campus to take the long route to the Waigani parish.

More than a thousand people joined in and are currently with the cross en route to Manu Autoport and Sabama.

It is expected that more people will be joining in to take on each station as the walk continues.

Traffic police are also out in numbers blocking off intersections of the road to escort the congregation as they move with the Cross around the city.

The next station will be taken up by the Sabama Mary Help of Christian Parish.
