Easipay system back online

PNG Power has successfully completed the Easipay system upgrade and was online by Sunday.

The Easipay system was shut down on Saturday (June 30) in order for the prepayment system to be upgraded to a newer, improved version.

In a statement, PPL said: “The shutdown enabled the PNG Power ICT and Customer Services teams to ensure data from the old version was merged into the new setup.

“As of 11am on Sunday, the PNG Power Customer Service offices nationwide were vending Easipay. The Vision City vending site in Port Moresby was the first to go online and vend.

“Easipay vending through BSP Mobile Banking will be online later today (July 2).

“As made known to the general public on Friday last week, Easipay vending through the Digicel mobile network will not happen until after 15 days.

“The upgraded system will minimise the Easipay outages and also provide our customers with more accessibility to purchasing Easipay credits as it comes with more options for third party vending.”

PPL has thanked its valuable customers for their understanding and cooperating with PNG Power during this time of the Easipay upgrade.
