DPM Rosso’s Xmas message

Deputy Prime Minister and Member for Lae, John Rosso, is encouraging citizens to make peace this Christmas.

He admitted that this year has been a difficult one for the average citizen, but emphasised on the need to re-evaluate our lives and move forward.

“I’d like to take this time to wish everyone in Papua New Guinea, and especially my people in my home city of Lae, merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

“It’s been a hard challenging year. We’ve just come out of the elections. It’s been a challenging year for all of us, especially our ordinary citizens.

“But Christmas is a time to reflect, take stock of where your life is and try to change some of our habits, try to improve on our lives, make peace with other people and time to move on and accept the challenges of the new year.

“I also want to take this time to thank my people of Lae for having confidence in me and re-electing me with an absolute majority to a second term of parliament.

“I’d like to say thank you to everyone else, including my peers, for also endorsing me as a deputy prime minister of our beautiful country.

“I’d like to wish every single person a blessed and merry Christmas.”
