Airport police boosted

The general public and the stakeholders of the Jacksons domestic and international airport can now rest assure as an additional 60 men will be gaining posts at the newly and recently opened Jacksons Airport Police station.

Speaking to Jacksons Airport Police Station Commander, Robert Wane said an additional manpower of 60 men will be given to his command trained especially for the aviation and they will be based at the Jacksons domestic and international airport.

“The will join the existing manpower of 100 that is currently existing rostered on a 24/7 basis.”

PCS Wane said the new Jacksons Airport Police station now is seen to have an impact of the officer’s performance at the airport boosting their moral to work efficiently and effectively.

 Wane assured that airport police will be giving enough coverage on a 24/7 basis especially considering the APEC meets that are expected to come up in the coming months.

Meantime, operations at the airport are running fine and smoothly.

Wane adds that with the upgrade of the new facility, the officers moral to do their duties effectively and most decisively during APEC.

“We are ready to give the best in terms of security at the airport,” Wane adds.
