Hotel to celebrate International Women's Day

Alotau International Hotel wants to #BeBoldForChange.

In line with the global theme set for the International Women’s day on March 8, the hotel will host its own celebration.

Alotau International has a full night set with entertainment and motivational speeches.

Based on the theme “Be bold for Change”, four community women leaders to deliver speeches are Betty Dunstan, Maxine Nadile, Elaine and Rhona Anakapu.

This is the first for such celebration and the hotel hopes women in the community come to know more about the Women’s Day and learn what’s celebrated in other parts of the world or what other women are doing and achieving in life in line with this year’s theme.

According to the hotel, entry is through pre-sold tickets for women at K5, K8 gate fee for gentlemen and women without tickets.

It’s open to all interested and the dress theme is set for purple and black.

The night will also have mini display shows, including BSP Bank who will be on site to open KIDS Savings accounts for mothers that wish to sign up their kids, National Development Bank will be giving information on their lending product, Women in Business and NASFUND Ltd will be displaying information on their NSCL products, housing scheme, kids savings account and more, among others.

Annually recognised, International Women's Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women.
However, progress has slowed in many places across the world, so global action is needed to accelerate gender parity.
