If you've got a child who refuses to go flatting then an American couple could provide the inspiration you need.
A New York judge has ordered 30-year-old Michael Rotondo to move out of his family home after his parents spent several months trying to evict him.
The Tuesday hearing only lasted 30 minutes and saw Mr Rotondo argue that he needed six months notice before his parents could kick him out.
"I am just so outraged," he told the DailyMail.com outside of court.
Mr Rotondo's parents, from Syracuse, had given their son five eviction letters in an attempt to get him to leave.
According to court documents, Michael allegedly did not pay rent or do chores and had even ignored his parents' offer of money to help him move on.
A letter to Michael dated February 2 reads: "We have decided that you must leave this house immediately".
When he still hadn't moved two weeks later the couple issued an official eviction notice.
"You are hereby evicted," it read.
"A legal enforcement procedure will be instituted immediately if you do not leave by 15 March 2018."
"There are jobs available even for those with a poor work history like you. Get one - you have to work!" they said.
Michael was then offered $1100 to help him move out but still didn't budge.
When March 15 came and went the couple filed a case at the Onondaga County Supreme Court to see if they could properly evict their son.
But they were told they would need a Supreme Court judge because Michael is part of their family.
According to CNY Central, Michael will now appeal the Supreme Court's decision.
He had previously called his parent's lawsuit "retaliatory" and had asked the court to get rid of their request, WABC News said.
