Music brought Solomon Island musician Sharzy to PNG years back and has allowed him to travel parts of the country.
Next weekend will be his first visit and performance to Alotau, Milne Bay Province, thanks to his latest hit song Wahine Alotau.
The man from Simbo and Malaita in the Solomon Islands will welcome 2017 in Alotau with a two-night concert, from December 30 to 31.
The performance, part of his Bilas Bilum tour, will be at the Alotau International Hotel’s jetty entertainment club, made possible by Studio B37 Media Sparksv.
“Wahine Alotau is so popular in Alotau,” Lydia Mascord of Studio B37 Media Sparksv said.
“Sharzy is on his Bilas Bilum tour so we arranged for him to come here for his album promotion combined with our New Year celebration.
“He is excited, we are excited because this is the first time he will set foot in Alotau,” she furthered.
Sharzy and his band have been confirmed to arrive in Alotau on December 28 and have a day to prepare for the big night.
Alotau International Hotel has a good night planned to welcome 2017, including fireworks at midnight.
