Miss PNG Crowning Week Journey

The Miss PNG contestants have been hard at work in their respective spaces leading up to the crowning day on Saturday 10th of December in Port Moresby.

These beautiful contestants have travelled to various locations in the past few weeks meeting inspiring and empowering people, communities and their charities of choice.

In the lead up to the crowning, the Miss Pacific Islands pageants have been putting in the work by visiting their charities of choice, attending church sessions, and will be participating in their first judging category at the Crown Hotel tomorrow.

Transporting these lovely lasses to and from the point of their scheduled destinations is supported and provided for by Budget Rent a Car, who art the official Pageant Week Transport sponsor. This was officiated by Budget General Manager Tania Mahuru and MPIP Chairlady Molly O’Rouke.

These wonderful MPIP Pageants participated in full on rehearsals in boot camp preparing them up their big day.

Miss Vodafone Natania Kook paid a visit to her old school Jubilee Catholic Secondary School, where she shared her childhood stories of her time in school and of her passion to help disadvantaged children in the communities.

She appealed to the students to consider donating what they could towards her charity of choice Born Free Sanctuary.

Miss Alibi, Writer Collin with her team stopped by Port Moresby General Hospital to deliver gifts for the Children’s Ward in support of the amazing work done by Friends of PomGen when commemorating World Children’s Day. This ward in particular is dear to her having cared for a loved one there herself.

On Monday the ladies were welcomed to the Vabukori church to start off their week on a positive note before heading to their venue host Crown Hotel.

To boost their moral, the contestants had the opportunity to listen to Country Director of Save the Children PNG, Fui Williame Igara who gave a breakfast session on life changing motivation, encouraging them to appreciate the sacrifices made for them and the struggles they experience.

Team MPIP and these lovely contestants visited the Port Moresby Nature Park yesterday touring the recreational Park that houses over 550 unique native animals and enjoyed the greenery that brought a calming and learned experience.
