Kiwi music producer calls for support of PNG artists

“If there is one thing I can take away from PNG is that you gotta support people in your own country,” says New Zealand music producer Rory Noble.

Rory produces for New Zealand-based PNG hip hop artist Trigarow.

He visited PNG for the first time with Trigarow to perform at the Lamana Gold Club in December 3, 2016.

Rory’s message comes with the support Trigarow had by friends, family and fans.

“Support your local artists because most of the time they are pushing so hard to make a good name for their hometown and home country,” he told Loop PNG via email when sharing his PNG experience.

Rory tells that, like many, he did not know a lot about PNG except for some bad stuff reported by media as well as great things mentioned by Trigarow.

“When Trigarow told me we are going to PNG I was very excited. I had no idea what it would be like to play in Port Moresby but had a good feeling we would pull off a good performance for everyone,” he says.

“The performance was so good, the crowd were responsive and loving our performance. Trigarow did such a good job and we just turned up and the energy we gave out was what we got given back from the crowd.

“I was humbled to see the amount of love that people were giving not only to Trigarow but to me as well which I thought was so crazy but in such a good way,” he adds.

At 20, music producer Rory Noble has steadily climbed the ranks, working with big names in the urban music scene and eyeing a fulltime career in the United States of America.

Starting early in life allowed the boy from Palmerston North, New Zealand at least  five to six years of experience in the career.

He has produced tracks for the likes of DJ Mustard, Tinashe, Parris Goebel, Pro Era, William Singe, Jupiter Project, Fortafy and many more.

He helped Trigarow put together his entire Extended Plays (E.P).
