Calling all young rappers!

The Welcome to POM City rapper has set the bench for emerging hip-hop artists in the country.

Hip-Hop/R&B is still underground music in the country where local competitions continue to push for recognition of these genre and music style.

Noxxy is one product that passed through such competition.

He was the winner of 2016 Rap-ture competition, gained a wider fan base and has gone onto recording his first song with Planet Native’s YansaQ.

The Rap-ture competition kicks off a second season this year.

“I believe Rap-ture 2 - Flip the Script for this year will be a lot different than last year. We're trying to create a platform for hip-hop fans, which in this case are Niugini Hip-hop fans to be able to showcase their skills in the art of rap. Also to get more people into Niugini Hip-hop, we all adopt something from the modern world and put our own thing to it, Hip-hop is one of them,” Noxxy said.

The super-club Cosmopolitan, which hosts the competition, has once more made a call for young rappers interested to pursue a path in music.

Registration forms are available at The Cosmopolitan, email events@cosmopolitanpng.com, call 302 8611 or drop by VC level 2, The Cosmopolitan, and pick up an application form!
