And the ultimate khax is…

The NoiZiiK duo from the NoiZiiK PNG beatboxing has been branded the ultimate khax of Yu Em Khax season one.

In addition, the duo - Lazor Marx and Beatboxer Steve – has also snatched the K20,000 grand prize.

But it wasn’t an easy win, with all acts bringing the best onto the stage.

The talent show, first-of-its kind, was televised Sunday night on TVWan Life channel, showing grand- finalists Vigilante, Wilson Pulu, NoiZiiK, B13, Jack Spade and Bradly Kanao.

From eight contestants, there could always be one winner, and in this case, it was the duo that gave life to sound.

Taking on the stage at the Port Moresby Arts Theatre, NoiZiiK stepped out of their shell and took the performance a notch higher, as described by the judges.

“You’ve been hearing the sound, tonight you will see the sound,” Lazor Marx said to the packed theatre as the room went dark and their sounds came alive on the projected screen.

The boys were visibly shocked when called up as the winners of season one.

Coming up right behind NoiZiiK was Jack Spade at second place, taking K10,000 with a performance that wowed the crowd.

In a typical Jack Spade style, the magician from Oro kept the crowd guessing as he pulled a guinea pig out of an empty hat, made a bowl full of junk food appear on an empty table and his handkerchief disappearing from his hands, only to appear in the bra of a female in the audience.

In third place, deserving K5000 for not cracking any bones with unbelievable flips was Vigilante dance crew, putting on an intense performing right from the start.

The night also had entertainment from local musicians – Sprigga Mek, dAdigii, Meriani Masani, OFour and Tarvin Tounie.
