Polling for Enga may be delayed

Polling in Enga Province may be delayed until Friday, July 7.

Provincial election manager Anton Iamau revealed this afternoon that pre-counting of ballot papers in three electorates has not been completed.

Iamau said pre-counting in Lagaip Pogera, Wabag and Wapenamanda is expected to be completed tonight before polling can commence.

Meantime, pre-counting in Kandep and Kompiam-Ambum have been completed.

Iamau adds that they’re also waiting for security personnel to arrive on ground before the one day polling can commence in the electorates.

He said they’ll have to get all logistics sorted including security on ground before polling can commence.
