Lupari commends heads of disciplinary forces

​Chief Secretary to government, Isaac Lupari has commended the heads of the disciplinary forces for joining hands to work together in this election.

Lupari, when launching the Election security operations today in Mt Hagen said events like this comes only once every five years for PNG.

He thanked the Commissioner for Police, Commander for PNGDF and the commissioner for CS for taking the lead in the security operations in the country.

Lupari said this is not an easy job for the disciplinary forces and called on the people of PNG to work alongside this men and women who will be at different polling areas to provide security.

"You will not only be providing security but also helping the people to exercise their constitutional rights in voting for their leaders," Lupari said.

He told the 180 officers present at the parade to do their duties without fear or favor and that it is their main duty to maintain the law and order in the country.

"I am confident that the joint forces will carry themselves out professionally and perform to the best of their abilities."

Ha also called on the public, not only in the Highlands region but across the country as well to work together and support the officers of the forces to deliver a safe and trouble free election for the Highlands region and PNG.
