Lamur plans to rescue Kokopo District

A candidate for the Kokopo Open seat Edward Lamur plans to rescue the district to its rightful place through honest, experienced, fair, effective and ethical leadership.

The former public servant and deputy provincial administrator socio-economic services, is one of 25 candidates contesting the seat in East New Britain Province during this national elections.

Former Prime Minister and Kokopo MP Sir Rabbie Namaliu and Lamur’s elder brother William Lamur are throwing their support on him.

Lamur, 51, from Ralubang Village in the Bitapaka LLG is married with two children and has been preparing for two years to contest in this election period.

Elder Lamur said together with his younger sibling, they reviewed the district and ENB’s development part and are determined to recover the last 10 years of missed opportunities according to social and economic indicators, working with their extensive network.

He assured that he will assist his brother if he is elected.

Elder Lamur is currently the CEO and Managing Director of the ENB Development Corporation and is also currently in the board of several companies and organisations

He said Kokopo has been neglected for too long and that Edward Lamur should be given the chance to correct and transform Kokopo District.
