Quality check for the Kairuku Hiri Open seat was completed at 1pm today.
Kairuku Hiri returning officer Tabu Vaira confirmed that the elimination process will begin this afternoon.
After quality checks, incumbent Member and National Alliance candidate Peter Isoaimo had the highest progressive total with 13,238 votes.

The absolute majority stands at 28,674.
Counting officials will be working in two shifts to get the elimination process done.
Vaira said they should declare the winner by Wednesday, July 26 hoping that there wouldn't be any disturbances.
