Sam Basil has successfully retained his Bulolo Open seat with an absolute majority victory in the primary count.
Bulolo Returning Officer Raune Jombert confirmed to Loop PNG that the Pangu Party leader was declared at 4pm, this afternoon.

Jombert said 45, 971 ballot papers were counted of which 44, 426 were formal votes and 1, 546 were found to be informal.
Pangu Party have scooped two seats in the 10th National Parliament as of today, both from the Morobe Province.
Earlier this afternoon Koni Iguan unseated sitting Markham MP and PNC candidate Paul Isikiel.
