Two weeks away from UB40 shows

We are two weeks away from British reggae/pop band UB40 concerts in Port Moresby with tickets selling like hot cakes.

The band arrives in the country next week and those wanting to attend are urged to quickly purchase a ticket to avoid missing out.

Due to popular demand, Laman Hotel is bringing back UB40 to perform at its Gold Club on Friday 22 January and at the Sir John Guise Stadium on Saturday 23rd Jan.

More than 15,000 tickets started selling last month at Lamana Hotel's reception and selected City Pharmacy Limited outlets.

Tickets for the club show are selling at K250 arena, K350 balcony and K400 Temple balcony.

Tickets for the outdoor stadium concert are selling at K100 for both grand stand and outer stands including the field standing area.

Organiser Lamana Hotel explained in a statement that the field tickets are for fans to stand in front of the stage on the field, while grand stand and outer stand will have fans seated.

The stage will be set up just below the big screen toward the edge of the Sir John Guise stadium.

Fans are reminded that the stadium gates will open at 4.30pm and will close by 7pm when the show begins.

Parking will be available from the Sir John Guise Drive entry but there is a K50 fee payable at the gate.

The public is warned to purchase tickets at the specific venues as tickets are security coded/ marked and will be thoroughly screened at the venues on the show nights.

Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey of UB40 last performed in Port Moresby in April 2014 in front of a sold out crowd at the Gold Club.
