Tickets now on sale for FIFA World Cup

Tickets for this month’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup officially went on sale starting today.

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the World Cup say tickets can be found in Port Moresby at Waterfront (Rapid Fones), Boroko Foodworld (Rapid Fones), EuroSports (Vision City), Okari Haus (Boroko) and at Zero Supermarket in Lae.

The match schedule will also be available at these outlets to assist the ticket buyers.

Individual ticket prices range from K2- K15 for the group matches and K10-K50 for the finals.

The tournament package is K250.

LOC chief executive officer, Seamus Marten said the objective is to make the tickets affordable for everybody.

“One of our objectives is to fill the stands, so having affordable price options is an opportunity for football fans across the board to come along and watch,” said Marten.

From November 1-3, the first 48 hours of this public sales period will be exclusively for Visa card holders via and Outlet/Eftpos sales. All other cardholders can purchase starting November 4, throughout the tournament on a first come, first serve basis.

The World Cup will run from November 13 to December 3.
