The Team PNG contingent departs Port Moresby this afternoon at 1pm for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.
The Team that left today included Judo athlete, Raymond Ovinou and his coach, Richard Glied, Boxer, Thadius Katua and his coach, Joe Aufa, Weightlifting Team Manager, Winis Tua and Team PNG Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Bernie Amof.
Their trip to Rio will take a day before meeting up with the rest of the Team there.
The Opening Ceremony of the Olympics will be on August 5th, 2016.
