Talasea Highway riddled with potholes

The driver and passengers commuting into Kimbe town from Talasea District, encounter many potholes daily along the road.

Those vehicles  travelling in from Bulu, Pangalu, Volupai, Bitokara, Dami, have to travel on gravel road past the new Talasea High School and the Police Highway Patrol base. Gravel roads are maintained by NBPOL.

The sealed sections from Bola and Kavugara junction have many potholes that pose threats to drivers and passengers while trying to avoid potholes.

The biggest potholes are found at Kilu Bridge. They are an eyesore and must be fixed immediately.

Driving between Walindi and Town, especially the pothole in front of PNG Ports turnoff has been giving off warnings several times for passing vehicles.

The drivers from Talasea are not happy with the road condition and  are calling on the Provincial Government and Works Department to fix the roads.
