Storms will tour Gulf for tournament

The Champions of the Moresby South Rugby League, Warako Storms, will be touring Gulf province this Saturday for the Southern Confederation Club Elimination tournament.

After claiming the Moresby South title last Sunday, Warako Storms was officially invited by the PNG Rugby Football League to take part in the program that will see them playing against the POMRFL champions, Royals, in Kerema Town.

It was named as the Brown and Dr. Naipe affair as the two sides, Warako Storms and Royals, are headed by Moresby Souths Rugby president Brown Murema, and POM Rugby League president Dr. Michael Naipe, respectively.

The two Port Moresby clubs will go up against each other to find the champions for the city as they play the main game of the tournament.

The competition will also see other Sothern zone rugby league association champions, including Koiari Rugby League champions, Keleona champions and Rigo (Kwikila) League Champions, compete.
