Souths sign former Eels half after injury blow

Former Parramatta halfback Luke Kelly will play at South Sydney in 2017 after he was drafted in to cover the injury of youngster Connor Tracey.

Tracey recently signed a two-year deal but will undergo a knee reconstruction for the third time in three years.

According to Fox Sports, the injury allowed Souths to lock in a new halfback.

Kelly only played one game for the Eels in 2016, due to his own knee reconstruction, and was not re-signed at the end of the season.
