It will be all about impressing this Saturday at the Lamana Gold Club as six DJ’s throw their best mix to maintain their spot in the Heineken 'Live your music' DJ contest.
The almost one month battle between the DJ’s will see its actual kick-off at 10 pm this Saturday June 18.
Three new faces on the scene are DJs Acid, Cradle and Swagg competing in the B grade while the more experienced DJs X-Clusive, Swatz and Was compete in the A grade.
Asked what we will expect, Assistant Hotel General Manger Jacquie Simons said:
“Very tough competition as one elimination per grade and there's three A grade and three B grade. They'll be looking at impressing to stay in the game.”
Following from the launching last Saturday June 11, there will be one eliminated from each grade every competition until the grand final on Saturday July 30.
Winner of the A grade division will get a DJ console (this is the equipment used for DJing) as well as an all-expenses paid trip to Australia to spend with the world famous Ministry of Sound DJs.
Winner of the B grade competition will get a new DJ console as well as mentorship by the A graders.
The club will allow free entry before 10pm with complimentary Heineken to the first 100 through the door and Heineken bucket deals on offer.
