Following that will be two guest performances from a West Papuan group and a Papuan group.

NCD Governor Powes Parkop said it’s a pleasure to have the Black Brothers back in Moresby after 28 years to celebrate 41 years of Independence with us.

“The visit by the Black Brothers in 1978 really captured our musicians here so they’ve been part and partial of our music and entertainment scene.

“Their music has helped our musicians develop their talents and skills,” Parkop said.

The Black Brothers also helped to make CHM Studios a household name with most of the local artists performing have recorded under the CHM label.

Tickets for the one night concert are selling for K5 outer stands and K30 grandstand available at CHM Vision City and Tabari Place.
