Sex orgy couple to stand trial for sexual assault

A New Zealand man and his Papua New Guinean partner will stand trial at the Waigani National Court for the alleged sexual assault of another woman in Port Moresby on Aug 1 last year.

Douglas Ross Crabb, 34, and his PNG partner from the Central Province, Stella Teha Pia were committed to stand trial at the National Court after the Committal Court ruled it had sufficient evidence against them.

They are expected for listing at the National Court on May 16.

It is alleged that both Ross and Pia engaged in sexual activities with the victim, Joselyn Pakure at their home on Aug 1 last year in Boroko without her consent.  The victim, Pakure was said to be disoriented, weak and helpless at that time. 

They were arrested on Nov 5 last year and charged under section 347 of the Criminal Code Act.

Pakure was allegedly invited to the couple’s house for a farewell gathering that went wrong for her after one too many drinks that caused her to pass out.

She later woke up confused as she found herself in the couple’s bed. There the two allegedly engaged the victim in sexual activities that saw Ross allegedly raped her without her consent.
