The second winner of the TVWAN Facebook State of Origin ‘money can’t buy experience’ competition has been announced.

Mirou Morris will be travelling to Melbourne to see the second match, the first ever held in the southern city, and will also enjoy exclusive tours and behind the scenes game access.

The 23-year-old liked and shared the State of Origin status on the TVWAN Facebook page and was randomly chosen as the winner.

“I received my tickets on Monday and am extremely excited to travel to see this history-making game,” Mr Morris said.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to not only travel to Melbourne, but see what should be a thrilling match.

“I am extremely grateful to TVWAN for the opportunity to take part in this fantastic prize.”

Mr Morris is 23 years old and is taking Medical Imaging Science at UPNG.

He lives at Gordons, Port Moresby.

And he supports the NSW Blues.

TVWAN will accompany Mr Morris on his “money can’t buy experience” as he takes an ‘Inner Sanctum Tour’ around the MCG and visits the NSW Blues dressing room and listens in on some pre-game pep talk from Origin legends Petero Civoniceva and Brett Kimmorley.

TVWAN’s head of marketing Jack Bourke said TVWAN had gone all out to ensure the prize was something special.

“We’ve spent a lot of time and effort to pull the State of Origin prize packs together, and the winners will enjoy this ‘money can’t buy experience’,” Mr Bourke said.

He added, “The prize also includes a flight and accommodation package, an escort down the hallowed players’ tunnel, and photos taken under the goal-posts.

“With only one more chance left to win to see the final game in Brisbane I’d encourage everybody to like the TVWAN page and to keep sharing our State of Origin post,” said Mr Bourke.

The next winner will be announced at 10am on 24 June.

This competition is part of the NRL, TVWAN and Digicel Play’s initiative to encourage participation in the proposed Voice Against Violence program and maximize engagement with the Papua New Guinea rugby league community.
