School resumes two months after teacher’s death

Classes resumed for a primary school in Eastern Highlands after a murder incident had taken place two months before.

The killing of a female teacher, who was teaching in Soike Primary School, caused the school board and management to close the institution for almost a term in fear of retaliation of the deceased relatives.

Frustrated parents of children attending Soike decided to put an end to this closure and called on the provincial education authority to come out and evaluate the situation.

They want their children to go back to school and resume from where they left off.
