Samb calls for change in Goilala

Six-months-old Goilala MP William Samb has called on the people of Goilala to participate in the ‘Winds of change’ that is happening in the district.

Samb, who won the Goilala by-election after the former MP Daniel Mona died, has not wasted time and has continued to deliver services to his people.

With only six months in the office, Samb, today launched a variety of projects for his district which include Tapini Highway upgrading, Vsat roll out programs, World Bank pilot water supply  project in Tapini, school supplies and presentation of vehicles to the three LLGs.

When giving his speech at the launch, Samb challenged public servants in the district to take ownership of their district and change it for the betterment of  Goilala’s future generation.

“Goilala district needs its own people to change it. Public servants are doing nothing in the city but are getting full pay.

“Goilala district does not need such public servants and stop wasting your time eating ‘rubbish’ in the settlements of Port Moresby,” he said.

He gave an ultimatum to the public servants to go back to the district and serve the people by January 1, 2016 or faces termination.

Witnessing the launch was Opposition Leader Don Polye and his deputy and Pangu Pati leader Sam Basil with their families.
