Reggae group Jamrock rocks Ela Beach Amphitheatre

Australian based Afrobeat and Reggae group Jamrock rocked the Amphitheatre at Ela Beach today in front of more than 50 people including children who were cooling off on the beach.

The group supported Governor Powes Parkop’s Walk for Life Healthy Living message with a free performance.

The Jamrock dancers shared their skills and taught some basic dance moves to the audience while sharing the message that exercise such as dancing are fun and easy ways to stay fit.

Dancing helps not only with physical fitness, but also mental agility and is a great way to stay healthy.

They performed a few cover songs and invited the crowd up to learn some dance moves.

Mothers and children got involved on stage as they danced along with singer Lisa Viola and professional Jamaican dancehall dancer Laura Stephenson while DJ Joe of Tonga took care of the music.

The group arrived in the country on Friday and performed at the Dragon’s Club in Lae then the Lamana Gold Club in Port Moresby on Saturday night.

Viola said they had fantastic shows and had so much fun in PNG as she thanked the public for the support.

“We really appreciate it so Jamrock will be coming back to PNG for sure,” she said.

She also thanked the Governor for organising the free outdoor show.
