Prince Harry has a heartwarming reunion with an African orphan he first met 11 years ago

PRINCE Harry has had a joyous reunion with a young orphan boy he first met 11 years ago on a trip to Africa.

The prince, who was in Maseru, Lesotho as part week-long tour of the African country and South Africa, gave his old friend Mutsu Potsane a hug when they saw each other again at the groundbreaking for the Mamohato Children’s Centre

The centre is part of Harry’s Sentebale charity, which according to its website, helps HIV positive minors and children orphaned by AIDS in the southern African country.

The pair have been pen pals since they first met at Mants’ane Children’s Home for Orphans in 2004, when Mutsu was just 4 years old.

In a letter to the 31-year-old royal that Kensington Palace shared on Instagram, Mutsu writes: “I feel very happily when I dream I remember about you because you have being with me since my childhood and you have bought me the blue gumboots” he says referring to a pair of boots that Harry gave him on their first meeting. Mutsu loved the boots so much he used to wear them to bed, according to US Weekly.

After seeing the prince again, Mutsu said he was very happy to see him again. “I’m very comfortable around Harry, he is very comfortable around me.

Prince Harry has named the buildings of a new children’s centre in Lesotho after the two most important women in his life — his mother and his nanny.

Britain’s Press Association said Harry opened the Mamohato Children’s Centre on Thursday, along with Lesotho’s Prince Seeiso.

The Press Association said the center’s dining hall is named after the prince’s late mother Princess Diana. The welcome block, in part designed by Harry, is named after his late nanny, Olga Powell.

Reports said the prince described the centre as a “milestone” in the work of the charity organisation he founded with the Lesotho prince in 2006.
