Pom Men’s softball comp to start this weekend

The 2016/2017 Port Moresby Men’s Softball Association (POMSA) competition will get underway this weekend at the Bisini Grounds.

This comes after three weekends of pre-season games that ended yesterday with the grand final that saw Yokomo edge out PNG Power 6-5.

President of the POMSA, Tony Daple said the A and B grade games will run up until one week before Christmas before going on a break.

He said the competition will resume again in January.

He added with the entry of new club Saints, there are now nine A grade teams. In the B grade division, 10 teams have confirmed their participation for this season.

Daple said the draws for this weekend will be sent out during the week.
