Police promise to be seen in town and villages

Madang Provincial Police Commander Superintendant Jacob Singura has praised his men and women in blue for a job well done over the festive period operations.

PPC Singura says his priority for 2016 is to maintain police visibility in the town area and also in the outer stations.

He says he aims also to conduct more awareness on the work of police in communities in the province, and covering the rural areas will be the target.

Singura says since taking office as the Provincial Police Commander last year he had visited a handful of villages like Siar, Yabob and others and that this will continue this year.

He says he will also push for the police housing issue to be seriously looked into this year.
