Police investigations continue in Mt Diamond case

An accused who was allegedly involved in the unconsented sexual penetration of a female student at Mt Diamond Secondary School in June returned to the Central Committal Court this morning (Oct 27).

He appeared on bail before the Central Committal Court where police prosecution indicated investigations were still going on and his files will be served to him once that is complete.

His appearance today comes after he failed to appear for two past scheduled dates in September. He first appeared in court on August 18.

He was arrested and charged under section 347 (1) of the Criminal Code for allegedly sexually penetrating another person without her consent.

It is alleged he was one of the group of students who were involved in the unconsented sexual penetration of a fellow female student while under the influence of alcohol on June 16.

He will return to court next month (Nov).
