Phoebe Burgess puts on a leggy display

They were the envy of their fans after they enjoyed a romantic honeymoon in the Maldives last month.

And journalist Phoebe Burgess (née Hooke) still appeared in the holiday mood as she enjoyed a sunny stroll in Bondi Beach with her new husband Sam.

The 26-year-old beauty put on a leggy display in a long denim skirt with a side split as she took a walk with the NRL hunk, 27, before settling down for breakfast on Thursday.

The former Sunrise producer looked beach ready in a simple, V-neck grey shirt and black-and-white sandals.

Phoebe also accessorised with a silver watch and wore her luscious blonde looks loosely and in a middle parting.

Concealing her gaze behind dark sunglasses, the University of Sydney graduate clutched an iPhone and slung a chain link purse over her right shoulder.

Meanwhile, her English-born beau displayed his well-built frame in a white T-shirt, grey shorts and thongs.

Sam, who plays for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, also wore shades to protect against the sunny climes - which reached heights of 33°C on Thursday.

The couple, who tied the knot at a luxury Southern Highlands estate in December, looked relaxed as they strolled through Bondi to grab a bite to eat.

Sam and Phoebe first met at an Avicii concert in Sydney in 2014, but kept their relationship under wraps for eight months before making their public debut at the Dally M's.

At the time, she was a regular writer for the soon-to-close Cleo magazine and also picked up work with Channel Nine.

She told Daily Mail Australia at the red carpet: 'The relationship, well, it's blossomed, we’re eight months in.

'It's going really well, he’s not annoying me too much yet!' she said cheerfully.
Soon, Phoebe became a regular fixture at Rabbitohs matches, supporting Sam and his brothers George and Tom, both 23, from the sidelines.

She eventually moved to Bath in the United Kingdom to join her athlete hubby, who had taken up a multi-year deal with Bath Rugby.

But they returned Down Under after it was reported in November last year that Sam had signed with the Rabbitohs for $1.5m per season.
