People are sharing a link solely designed to crash your iPhone

Internet trolls are always coming up with new ways to ruin your day, and now there's a new one - and it's coming for your smartphone.

A link has started doing the rounds with the sole purpose of crashing your desktop browser or forcing your phone to reset. Cheers, guys, really helpful...

Pointing to a website solely designed to ruin your day, the link to crashsafari.com has taken on Rickroll levels of sharing irritation - so if you see it in your inbox steer clear.

It works by filling your browser's address bar with thousands of characters, filling up your phone's memory and causing the device to grind to a halt and then crash.

Capable of crashing your desktop as well as your phone, the link is doing the rounds on social media as a sneakily disguised short URL - so be wary what you click on.

Although there's nothing to suggest the link will cause any long-term device damage - or put your security at risk - it's sure to piss you off.
