Oro Governor spreads health awareness to schools

“Your health is paramount to your success. A healthy body and mind will be positive and productive and able to cope with the challenges life throws your way.”

This was the message delivered by Governor Gary Juffa today at the Popondetta Skills Training Centre (PSTI) graduation.

More than 222 students graduated and was witnessed by parents, friends, observers, and invited guests.

“Refrain from poisoning your body and mind and refrain from the consumption of substances which deteriorate and attack your health.

“Rather, exercise your body and mind regularly consume traditional wholesome organic garden food and rest well.”

Juffa told the graduating students to avoid negative people who are unproductive and spend their time moaning and groaning about everything and anything.

“Rather be in the company of those who are positive and productive and disciplined. Never stop learning, many imagine that gaining a certificate or some such document means they have completed their education but you are only restricting yourself if you do this.

“Today’s technology allows you to learn much at an amazing speed. You have a virtual university at your fingertips with your phone.  You can learn much and use it to achieve much.”

Juffa commended the school for always having a positive outlook and for contributing to the human resources of Oro.

He also commended the staff and the chairman of the Board Louis Dirah and his team who he stated was one of the best school boards in the Province and managed funds and activities with great care and foresight.
