O’Neill’s supporters happy with outcome of vote

The crowds of spectators outside the Parliament House who were listening in on the radio for the result of today’s Vote of No Confidence say they had expected such an outcome from the government.

Most of them supporters of the O’Neill government were seen to be ecstatic and relieved to be on the winning side.

Although most didn’t make it into the Parliament to witness the actual vote,  supporters of O’Neill say  they are still happy the decision has been made and that the Prime Minster can continue his leadership for the next couple of months until the 2017 National Elections.

Others who were disappointed  on the turnout of events in the Parliament say that they were just there to see if there leaders would vote against the Prime Minister of which did not eventuate, but say they are now looking forward to the 2017 National Elections to vote in fresh and new leaders to stand for them in Parliament.

“It is now time, that our young people must take to the streets of this city as well as in our provinces to start making awareness of the current issues being handled by the O’Neill’s government and make better decisions in voting in new leader onto the floor of Parliament to represent the people of Papua New Guinea,” they said.
