Newcomers Erema Gulf FC beat Huawei PS 3-2

Newcomers Erema Gulf FC notched their first win of the 2015-2016 Telikom National Soccer League (TNSL) season coming back to beat Huawei PS United 3-2 this afternoon at the Bisini Grounds in Port Moresby.

Erema were first on the board in the 3rd minute through young Michael Gita.

Huawei PS struck back in the 20th minute through Henry Ronny and again four minutes later through Steven Mais to take the lead.

Both sides had equal chances to score more points but could not find the back of the net leaving the score at 2-1 going to the break.

Huawei PS threatened to take over the lead in the opening minutes of the second half when a cross from John Baulo to the boot of Ronny sailed above the bar.

Minutes later, it was the same up at the other end of the field when Erema missed a chance to equalize.

Erema continued to press on and the score was locked at 2-2 in the 84th minute after a header from Ivan Sevese beat the goal keeper.

One minute later, Erema took the lead when Tau Winnie was put into space and had only the goal keeper to beat which he had no trouble doing, slotting the ball past to score the winning goal.

In the Northern Conference Games today, Madang FC beat Admiralty FC 1-0 while Besta PNG United thrashed Goroka Gosiha 4-1.
