Men’s softball completes round one of season proper

The Port Moresby Men’s Softball Association (POMSA) completed its first round of season proper games at the Bisini Grounds last Sunday.

In the A grade matches, Gazelle had an easy win forfeiting Manolos.

In what is always a highly entertaining match, PNG Power edged out their brothers from Matupit, Brown Eagles with a 3-2 victory.

The young guns of Defence led by Kepas Mormor and Chris Sael Paak Jr. led their side to a 7-4 win over the much more experienced Bears outfit winning 7-4.

United Brothers started off their 2016/2017 campaign on a high beating last season’s winners Yokomo 4-3.

Newcomers, Saints had the bye.

To the B grade division, Stingerz def Saints 7-6, Bears def. Defence 15-3, Yokomo def. United Brothers 10-8, Gazelle def. Manolos 6-5 and Brown Eagles def. PNG Power 6-4.

Round two games will get underway this Sunday.
